Testimonials

If you are undecided about whether or not it is worth joining MGW then take my word for it and become a member. Aside from all the instructional videos and other downloadable advice, you will get unprecedented support from both Steve and Jon as well as sage advice from a host of other full time traders which will nudge you back on track whenever you lose direction, as you will. Totally open, NOTHING is hidden within this group (as it is within others I have come across), in their goal to make you a successful Trader. Put quite simply, you WILL NOT find better value for your hard earned money.

Nick J.

The Mugs Game Trading course is excellent and exceptionally well presented. However, from my experience, the real value lies in the MGW community in the days, weeks, months, years that follow.
Hours of video analysis covering every market circumstance. Lateral thinking into other sporting markets. Webinars covering further topics such as Psychology.
Personal access to Steve and Jon for honest assessment of your work and trading progress – I WOULD PAY THE MONTHLY FEE FOR THIS ALONE. Helpful advice form a community where everyone genuinely wants success for the next man.
I was slightly sceptical that so many traders all fighting for the same value in the market could work ‘as one’ but in MGW that is exactly how it is.
I have benefited massively from MGW and after only 3 months feel like I have had a year’s worth of help and advice from it. It is exceptional value and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Joining MG World was probably the most important decision I have made in my trading career. I have been a long term member of MG World ( nearly 3 years) and the initial course is fantasic which teaches you everything you need to know about pre race trading and is easily worth the money.

The after care package and support you receive from the community is excellent.
The internet is littered with smokescreens and huge conflicts of interest towards achieving success at sports trading.
MG World is not one of them, it offers you the key to unlock a potential career in trading. Members range from complete Novices to seasoned professional’s who are always there on hand to help you out. It opened up my eyes and my knowledge of market reading has grown everyday. I have met professional traders who not only have helped me with the technical side but also the mental side of my trading.

On top of pre race trading there are are other sports and areas of trading you can branch out to within the community. There are no egos, it is an incredibly professional outfit and I am honoured to be a part of it.

I am testament to the fact you can achieve success with MG World because a large part and the most important part of my trading career has been spent within the community and I am now a full time profitable professional myself. I really do not think I could have done it without taking the path I did. Ignore the noise, smokescreens and conflicts of interest out there and take a look at what Steve and Jon offer at MG World, they are the real deal.

I attended the very first Workshop with Steve Howe, and have not looked back. What he has taught me has taken my trading to the next level. But it does not stop there. After the course, there is access the the Skype rooms with so much knowledge from Steve and others…. all willing to share with you. Everyone involved is there to help others succeed. Pro traders are willing to give you their time and share their thoughts, ideas and strategies. It is by far the best sports trading community out there. Steve’s strategies for horse racing pre-off is so effective… and with the right discipline, makes money. Fact! And is Always willing to offer advice after the training workshop, and the fact that the community is still growing speaks volumes! Credit to him and the guys n girls in MGWORLD.

I did the pre-race trading course with Steve in April 2016 after being in the markets myself on and off for approx two years and looking at e-books, YouTube and all the other stuff new traders try at first. The course itself was class and so informative but there is only so much you can fit it and learn in one day, although there was lots of stuff to bring home and work on afterwards. The real gem and game changer in my opinion was the mentorship programme offered afterwards. I have been part of this ever since and I will be in the future. The knowledge, support, education, nuggets of information is just endless and you get to pick the brains of several pro traders on a daily basis. Trading can be so rewarding but it can be very tough mentally and it is when you are having tough days that the mentorship programme is so valuable and essential now in my opinion to succeed long term. Steve, Jon and so many others take away all the things that can make trading difficult when essentially it is not difficult and I can recommend the mentorship programme 100%. There is so much happening all the time and it is always evolving which is so important. You can discuss anything and chat to pro’s at any point and it’s not just pre-race either, there is in- play, B2L, soccer, tennis, cricket,  trading psychology and group chats to discuss certain topics that some people feel they need to work on. To put it simply all you need to succeed.

2 Years ago I attended Steves workshop after already going on a few ”masterclasses” that promised the world and gave nothing more than a pad.. and a snicker bar! At the workshop Steve introduced MG World to us and I joined the next day….. I’m 2 years in to my trading journey and I think its finally clicking.. No doubt the workshop has helped but the support and advice I have received from other traders in MG World afterwards is unreal. There are no egos or people handing out bad advice, just a bunch of individuals just like me who want to make it in the trading world and some that clearly have!. You can use the skype rooms in a few different ways.. you can sit and watch like I did initially and read the invaluable information that is put in there each day and then put it into practice or you can get involved and have an input into them. I don’t believe there is any right or wrong way but when you have a question you can be sure that the community will help and often go above and beyond to make sure you get the answer you need. Each room has a purpose and each room normally has a couple of seasoned traders who are experts in that particular area meaning finding the answer you need is easy. The live rooms such as pre race are gold dust.. just by watching those you can make a few quid each day.. if you follow the advice. Along with the Skype rooms there is the mentor upgrade package. In there is everything you need to know… no stone is left unturned and its constantly updated… Videos galore on racing, football and trading techniques… but no waffle. This is great when you want clarity and if you take the time out to watch the videos in the pack over and over the message sinks in fast! I honestly don’t think I would be where I am today without the help of the rooms. I have made some really good friends…. The rooms in my opinion will only get better as the rooms become more experienced…. that’s the beauty of them.. its only just started! The only word of caution I would say is don’t expect to be spoon fed… there is some ways once you have joined that you will see are easy ways to make money but its a journey of learning and there is no better feeling than when it all clicks for you!

Every day there are opportunities in the market to make money, MGW has helped me see them clearly and profit from them daily.strategies that work in the real world, an understanding of how /what moves the markets with straight talking advice and ongoing support from expert full time traders with proven records.I have not come across anywhere where you will get even close this level of service and guidance. With mgw you can make serious money, you are only limited by your own ambition!

Can I say that I am grateful to the chaps who have taken the time to send in their testimonials. In line with all my comments anywhere on my blog. You see them all – good and bad. Thanks to all the guys who have been so generous in their support.

I attended the July course ( 2014 ) and consider it to be one of the best decisions i have made in my life.

Two months later i am slowly applying what was taught on the course and the sphere of Trading is starting to look a lot clearer.

I had attended other courses in previous years, but they are not in the same league as what this guy delivers. To make a comparison, i would say other courses were like being shown a book and only learning about the front and back cover. With Steve’s course you are shown the front and back cover and every word on every page in between. There is also a fantastic level of support from Steve and other course attendees way beyond the actual day of the course.

Steve is one of life’s good guys. He is one of the most genuine people i have met and during the course it was very evident that he wants you to succeed. He passes on his knowledge in a thorough way, pausing frequently to take questions and make sure everybody understands what is being taught.

This course has given me the confidence to trade better and has instilled a belief that i will succeed. If you get the chance to attend a future course, i would recommend very highly that you take that opportunity.

Many thanks Steve for the sharing of your knowledge and creating a community of like minded people who are all much better off for having met and listened to you.

Ken (July 14)

I attended the trading and mentorship program on 28th July.

First and foremost I would like to thank Steve for putting on such
a fun and very informative day. From the moment I arrived I felt
comfortable and at ease, this made it very easy to relax and gel with
the group.

Steve not only understands the betting markets, he also understands people
and although humble he has the natural ability to entertain and teach at the
same time, this in turn makes all the information he teaches easier to digest.

The course material is first class and he tells it like it is in fine detail.
He welcomes any questions at anytime and states that there are no silly questions
so even if you are a complete novice you wont feel intimidated when asking anything.

I have been trading 2 years and came away from the mentorship program with
excitement and added belief, I am now certain I can move on to the next level
and if I need any help I know Steve is on hand.

If anybody is remotely interested in learning or trying to improve their
trading skills then this mentorship program is a must. My only regret is I didn’t
go sooner.

I believe behind every successful person is a great mentor and to me Steve is
that man, not just because of his trading but also because he is a very decent
human being and if you do decide to go on his mentorship program you will understand
what I am speaking about.

I am now eagerly looking forward to spending some time in the MG trading community
with some of the guys from the course and also meeting some of the guys already there

How many opportunities will you get to be taught, mentored and developed by a person at the pinnacle of their trade or profession who will offer you a no holds barred detailed insight into how they achieve greatness? Steve is a true legend of Betfair and an engaging presenter with a wide and colourful vocabulary, he withholds nothing, making the process invaluable and truly enjoyable and offering personalised support way beyond the initial induction day. If you’re serious about making money from the betting exchanges, then this offer is priceless.

Andy (July 14)

“Thank you for all the hard work and effort you put in to making sure the course was a useful and enjoyable as possible for everyone.

Personally I enjoyed it immensely even though some of it was at a more advanced stage that I am currently at. The way you cut it down in steps to explain everything was excellent. So even though I am just starting out I found it extremely beneficial so much so that I was even thinking about booking on again in the future to kind of “cement” what I have learnt.

The videos were excellent and I will be going through these at the weekend when I’m on my own. I will certainly be using the sykpe room going forward as the other lads are obviously good down to earth to people who you can exchange ideas with.

I’m sure everyone agrees they got more than their money’s worth during the day”

John (April 14)

“I attended the first every MG Education Trading event – all i can say is “brilliant”. Steve is a true gent, and is very very generous with sharing his experience and knowledge. I learnt more in that 1 day, than i have in the last 2 years of attempting to get a grip on trading. I know that what i have picked up from Steve, will have a massive impact on my trading…..all i can say is “thank you”.

Mike (April 14)

“If anybody wants to go on this Trading & Mentorship Program i would fully advise you to do so it was a great day and the things you learn and the information your given is to much to mention, Steve himself is a down to earth guy and wants everyone to succeed not a man who is up his own arse because he earns mega money compered to most if your just starting out or have some think you would like to learn this is the course for you.”

Paultomo (April 14)

“I’m writing to say thank you for everything.

Using what you taught us, I had my best trade ever… 56 ticks! It’s been a full week now and I’ve made good profit every day I’ve traded. Your course pays for itself.

You’ve been told this before, but the course is actually too cheap. I mean this sincerely: your value for money is unrivalled in the industry.

What pleases me most is that I now have a clear blueprint of what to do. In the past, trading often felt like guesswork – like part of the puzzle had been put together, but with were crucial gaps missing. After going on your course, most of those gaps are now filled. I can finally see a full picture.

Using the guidelines you taught, I take sensible entry positions. When the occasional trade goes wrong, I cut for a small loss below the POS and the winning trades have almost been taking care of themselves.

Something’s clicked, Steve. I am trading with more confidence than ever.

In fact, if anyone is reading this and on the fence about whether to go on the course, here’s my advice: seize the opportunity.

The course itself is great. And you’ll leave with DVDs containing live video examples to take home – much better than learning from a book. But the biggest benefit for me is the Skype room and post-course learning.

The Skype room, in general, is full of top lads. The environment is very warm. We’re all there to help each other succeed/improve. And we have a laugh while we’re doing it, too.

As for Steve, he’s a terrific guy. Generous with his knowledge and generous with his time. If/when you have a question, Steve is always happy to help. Genuinely: no one else will try harder to help you succeed.

 Highly, highly recommended”

J (April 14)

It has been 2 weeks since I attended the MG Educational event. I have been immensly impressed with the level of ‘after care’ that has followed the event. Steve is a very genuine guy and this really shows through. If you are struggling with any aspect, Steve will either have a ‘one to one’ skype chat or even make a video to help you get through. in my first 2 days trading following the event i had made enough money to cover the cost. to summarise, the best £250 I have ever spent.

Jay (April 14)

1) In the words of a great statesmen/prophet – “First there was darkness and red, now there is light and green”

 2) Whenever you start a new profession or vocation the issue is that “You don’t know what You don’t know” – your course in just one day showed me what I did not know – still a way to go to apply what I have learnt – but I now have the confidence knowing that I am applying tried and tested principles in my trading.

John  (May 14)

Steve is one of the most genuine people i have ever met. No matter what query you have he will do his best to help. The information on the course is priceless but the best part is the skype room!

I have learned so much from the other lads as well as Steve posting what he thinks you should know in the download room.My trading has come on leaps and bounds,my confidence has moved up a level and i understand things so much better now.I feel like i have a support team behind me to help me on my journey.I feel honoured to be taught by Steve-one of lifes good guys!

Joe (April 14)

I am writing this a few hours after spending the day with Steve and a great bunch of like minded people. My experience so far leads me to agree with all of the positive  comments I have read from the testimonials written by the guys from the first training day Steve held, and I am looking forward to chatting with them in the skype room.

If anyone is thinking about signing up for the programme then maybe look at it this way.

I compare learning to trade with learning to drive a car. Apologies if you can’t drive but I hope you will get the point! I thought I would never master the clutch control bit more than anything, but then millions of people can drive so I knew I would nail it eventually. To cut a long story short, I did and as with all the best drivers I passed my test on the second attempt :)

So how is this relevant you ask.

To pass my test I didn’t rely on learning from my Dad (he did make a full recovery with counselling), or from an ebook (they only had proper books when I was learning to drive) I got a qualified driving instructor  and was mentored until I was ready for my test.

What Steve is offering is something sort of similar as I see it but alot cheaper than it is to learn how to drive!

I may have only had my first lesson with him, and as far as the markets are concerned I’m sure I’ll still be bunny hopping down the road now and again, but I know with the help and support he is offering I will make it. This is just the beginning.

 Paul B. (May 14)

I am 100% sure that my money was well spend. Seminar alone was worth the money. I skimmed through DVD’s and they alone are worth the money. Skype rooms are alone worth the money as well. Your support in coming weeks and/or months will be worth 10 times the money. I am sure of that

I have just returned home after attending the MG Educational Course in Coventry, and I have to say for any aspiring Sports Traders out there, whether you are Pro’s-Semi-Pro’s or Novices like myself , I urge you to take this course. Steve is the most charismatic and enthusiastic tutor that I have ever had the pleasure of learning with. His attention to detail, inspirational ideas, and the courage to pursue and develop them are second to none. Much is talked about on Sports Traders Forums with regard to ‘The Edge’ well Steve gives you his ‘Edge’ in full unedited detail.

His determination to help others succeed, which is unheard of in other quarters, makes me say ‘the world needs more people like Steve.

Bernie (May 14)

Well people; if you think that the price is questionable then you couldn’t be farther from the truth. I have been on a couple of programs now and Steve (MG) breaks the mould. At 3 times the price it would be a give away and you wouldn’t find a more sincere and dedicated tutor. The content is second to none. Nothing but nothing is too much trouble and the content is extensive by any stretch. A genuine guy whose sole aim is to help you succeed with ongoing help and advice. I’ve nothing at all to gain by saying this but miss this at your peril if you are failing to profit from trading……..probably the best chance that you will ever get.

Nick (May 14)

Learning to trade has proved to be a difficult thing for me to do. Other traders will show you the software, go through the basics and put some big totals up but I never seemed get to the heart of how it’s done. That was until I attended Steve’s course.

Everything about the course was just right. Steve went out of his way to make sure that all the details were in place – hotel info, pre-course preparatory information, support in a dedicated Skype room for the event (even if it’s just to introduce yourself), and time the night before to meet and get to know him and fellow attendees. By the time of the course on the Monday I was certain that this wasn’t going to be like any other training event and I was correct.

The core of the programme is racing and by the end of the day I had a new confidence in how to approach a market and understanding why and how to make the right decisions. Quite simply I have learnt how to trade using the same techniques that a professional trader uses.

Steve’s unique selling point is his commitment to attendees and his genuine wish to ensure that you leave the course with the knowledge to be successful. You have direct access to him personally after the course for follow-up advice or to clarify things. He really wants you to succeed and has thought carefully about how he can help you to do this. And on top of all that he’s a great guy!

Attending the education event is the best decision I have made since starting to trade and I would recommend the MG Trading Programme without hesitation.

I would like to write few word for your testimonial page.Sorry I cannot express all of my feelings on English, but I will try with some.

Please, correct me,if I said something unusually or transcendentally.

I may say to all of you guys: “I was traveling over 1000 miles, almost 20 hours, spend two months payment check….. and it’s worthwhile”.

So kind man (Steve) you can see anywhere, especially if you meet him on internet.

I’m not so experienced in trading and I know that is only four days in

my NEW TRADING ATTITUDE, but I may say that Steve put many knowing and unknowing stuff in trade on the right places.

Now I know WHAT I’m doing and WHY I’m doing something.

Result I may see in my account. My bank is rise 43% in four days.

I think I said enough (for you guys who want to see).

Miroslav – who travelled from Croatia (May 14)

I attended Steves’ second course and find it difficult to find a suitable superlative.  The time and effort he has put into this is fantastic.  For the first time in four years having lost money hand over fist I can now end the day in profit. Steve is a down to earth guy who says it how it is. He doesn’t hold anything from you in terms of passing on his knowledge.  What sets Steves’ course apart from the rest is the after care.  The ongoing support is there for the asking.  Don’t think you will be making £300 a day within a week of the course. You’d be better off  cleaning out drains!  This is not a get rich quick scam. This is a life changing program.

Brian (May 14)

I recently attended the latest MG trading and mentorship induction day and am happy to say it comfortably exceeded my already high expectations. There seems to be numerous disingenuous individuals in this sector who just want to tell you how clever they are, how much money they make or constantly try to flog you their products when you sign up for training with them. But they have very little interest in genuinely helping you learn the skills you need to become a successful sports trader. Steve breaks the mold here.

You will meet like minded people on the course who share the same aspirations as you. Steve does a great job in getting everybody together and creating a relaxed learning environment. The day is jammed packed with information and no question is left unanswered. There are clear strategies and techniques that can be replicated but the real emphasis is on teaching you a skill that you can grow and develop as you become more experienced.

I’ve never felt more confident about my trading. If anything I’m now too confident. But Steve is on hand to help with that as well. I really can’t recommend the course highly enough.

Stephen (June 14)

steve, top genuine guy, cant add much to what’s already been said. i attended steves course 2 days ago. after trying to trade for the best part of 2.5years. traded yesterday, all green some good profits, some small profits, i was nervous, fear of failure, so probably didnt trade as many races as i could of.today was a bloody tough day, everyone in the forum agreed, traded 10 races, 4 green, 1 scratch, 5 red, still came away with a half decent profit. first time ive been able to do that.want to know how, get on the course. ive still got a long way to go, but thanks steve, for all your help in the past, and for being there in the future. good luck everyone.

Peter (June 14)  (In Comments)

I attended the June 23rd training program with Steve in Coventry.

Agree with all above.

Traded for 2 days after coming home and have managed to almost eliminate sack loads of daily reds and turn them in to greens. They may be only small greens but compared to big reds then small greens are really big greens.

I would recommend this course it’s well worth the money and Steve, well genuine, funny, and serious all in one.

I got up 6Am today to continue watching the dvds Steve gave us, very informative.

@7:30AM I asked a question in the Skype room, @8:00 it was answered by Steve.
He lives in this cyber room I’m sure.

Yesterday I had a very poor day but was green as stated before.

Historically I would of been thinking what’s wrong with me why can’t I see the opportunities,

But as I’m now in the Skype room with lots of other live traders who have been on the course, I could see lots of them including Steve saying it was a poor day, not for the individuals but the market in general, opportunities were few and far between. Historically I would have been blaming myself but it was a comfort to know that it was a problem everyone was having.

So the training does not stop as you leave on the day of the training .
It goes on and on.
You could call it an apprenticeship.

If you can get a place on the course go for it.

Thanks Steve.

I was on the Course held on the 23rd in Coventry. I was on many Courses in the UK but this one has to be one of the absolute Best I’ve ever been. Steve’s Ideas are very well taught and the Support this Guy gives you AFTER the Course is quite outstanding. You simply cant fail to improve your Knowledge in this Field. That Steve is a real Pro as you will recognize very soon after the Beginning, can only be classified as an Understatement. You will really miss out big if you let this Opportunity go.

Rene – From Austria (June 14)  (In Comments)

I attended Steve’s Mentorship course on 23rd June and was completely blown away.

Steve is a down to earth guy who makes a living from trading the betfair markets and has a passion and a natural ability to pass on his knowledge.

If you like graphs, charts and loads of flashing indicators on loads of trading screens and also want to hear about how much profit the trainer makes in a day then this course isn’t for you. This is a real life course trading in the real world. Steve teaches you the “nuts and bolts” of trading “warts and all” and gives you the necessary skills and ongoing support to help you to reduce your losses and start making profit. His motto is keep it simple and understand what makes the markets move. Let the markets present the opportunity and only trade if and when there is an opportunity and when it is safe to do so.

Since I attended the course, my confidence has grown considerably and I understand why I lost money in the past. Unlike other one day courses, the initial course is only the start of your mentorship experience. Once initiated into Steve’s fraternity you have access to daily briefing sessions and the Skype trading room. Here you have the opportunity to continue learning from Steve and fellow course members as we all improve together. There is a great bunch of guys from all backgrounds and experience levels and its great to be able to speak to people who have also struggled to trade the betfair markets.

The price of the course does not reflect the quality of the course or the ongoing support that you will receive. Had I understood in advance what this course entailed then I would have had no hesitation is paying considerably more.

If you have any doubt about attending then I have absolutely no objection to Steve passing on my personal details and I would be more than happy to discuss my personal experience and how it has changed my trading style for the better.

Thanks again Steve, and I can’t wait for the reunion.

Dave (June 14)

Hi Steve,

I’d like to thank you for a great day on Monday.

I’m not the most social of people but I was made to feel comfortable right from the start. I really enjoyed the day and evenings and hope that I can put into practise the techniques that were so clearly taught.  The day made me feel like I was one of the privileged insiders who were being shown secrets that otherwise would take years to acquire.

If the day was good, from what I’ve seen so far, I’ve a feeling that the on-going Skype access will be even more valuable.

But as im now in the Skype room with lots of other live traders who have been on the course, I could see lots of them including Steve saying it was a poor day, not for the individuals but the market in general, opportunities were few and far between. Historically I would have been blaming myself but it was a comfort to know that it was a problem everyone was having.

So the training does not stop as you leave on the day of the training .
    It goes on and on.
You could call it an apprenticeship.

If you can get a place on the course go for it.

    Thanks Steve.

    Meurig

    • Thanks so much Meurig – Like you say It’s the gift that keeps on giving…………………. :) Great to have you onboard mate – Steve

  6. I was on the Course held on the 23rd in Coventry. I was on many Courses in the UK but this one has to be one of the absolute Best i’ve ever been. Steve’s Ideas are very well tought and the Support this Guy gives you AFTER the Course is quite outstanding. You simply cant fail to improve your Knowledge in this Field. That Steve is a real Pro as you will recognize very soon after the Beginning, can only be classified as an Understatement. You will really miss out big if you let this Opportunity go.

    • Rene – I was very humbled that you and Clements came all the way from Austria to attend my induction. It was great to meet you and share a few Beers with you. Your comments are very kind and much appreciated. Cheers Steve

    Dave

  8. I attended Steve’s one-day trading induction course in Coventry last Monday, June the 23rd, along with seventeen others. I’ve waited a week before writing my testimonial, as I always find it best to calm down and gather my thoughts first.

Although Steve states that there’s a maximum of sixteen per course, there were one or two guys repeating the May course as they’d agreed with Steve that they’d benefit from doing so. Far from being a problem for the rest of us newbies, their experience of Steve’s methods and of using the Skype rooms proved to be interesting and helpful. I sat beside repeater Uncle Bernie, and was encouraged by his positive opinions about Steve, the course and the Skype community.

Interestingly, there were also a couple of ‘names’ attending as delegates, including a super-premium charge payer who’s well known on one of the trading forums, and a published author who writes sports betting and trading articles for numerous websites, including for one of the exchanges. If successful guys were willing to find the time and invest their own cash in Steve’s training, perhaps that can be taken as something of a recommendation in itself.

The venue for the course, the Village Urban Resort Hotel in Canley, Coventry, is a good choice both for location and for facilities, although there was a minor hiccough when an event in a neighbouring function suite started blaring out loud music from 5pm onwards — a bit of Muppetry on the part of the hotel management, but we weren’t inconvenienced too much.

For those of you who are committed to attending a future training, I would strongly recommend staying at the hotel on the Sunday night on their £15 + £50 deal (your room only costs £15 if you spend £50 on grub and booze by 11:00 the following morning), even if travel on the Monday morning is feasible — you’ll get to meet with Steve and your fellow attendees informally, and you can enjoy a beer or six with them. If you’re wondering how to spend £50, a fillet steak in the restaurant at £24.95, washed down with a glass of red wine at about £5, and breakfast the following morning at £5.95 will still leave you with about £14 to spend on beer in the bar. Easy — unless you’re a tea-total veggie, I suppose.

The course content and delivery exceeded my expectations. Steve is a racing guy first and foremost — it’s clear that he understands the sport as well as the markets, but he correctly emphasises that you don’t need a knowledge of form or racing stats to trade profitably. The day started with introductions before quickly moving on to the morning racing markets. Racing markets were the main staple of the day, but we moved on to football mid-afternoon.

Profitable trading techniques were provided and practised, but there was also much to be learned about mindset. Steve goes to some length to emphasise that at this stage of our trading careers we need to learn patience, and to only enter a market when there’s both an identifiable reason to do so and also an identifiable exit point — our POS. I’m not an experienced trader myself — I’m a racing form/stats student using Betfair to back or lay at SP — but many of my fellow attendees admitted that they had traded way too often, with inevitable results.

Like everyone else, I paid £275 for the course. On top of that I’d train fares of £102 (return Glasgow to Coventry) and a hotel bill of £81 (£15 + £50 + even more booze), and I’ll commit to at least a year’s subscription to Steve’s Skype rooms, which will cost me £300. During the forthcoming year I won’t be doing any trading at all unless the trade is so bloody obvious, and with such a favourable risk-v-reward profile, that it’s like taking sweeties from a kiddie, but I’m still hopeful of recovering at least some of my first-year investment.

I’m not really concerned about my first twelve months, except to avoid making stupid mistakes and losing cash that shouldn’t have been lost. Yes, it’s important to make mistakes so that we can learn from them, but I prefer to learn from the mistakes of others rather than my own — better yet is to learn from the things that others do right. That’s what I hope that Steve’s videos, his mentorship in the Skype trading rooms and my interaction with my mentee colleagues will help to provide.

I can strongly recommend the one-day course to anyone who’s still wavering — I believe that it’s value for money. I hope that my membership of Steve’s Skype community will prove to be an even better investment, and that the community avoids the kind of sycophancy and clique-ism that, allegedly, can occur in some other trading rooms. I believe that Steve’s attitude and approach will help to build a successful trading community, but ultimately it’ll be down to all of us to contribute and help ourselves to be successful — like anything else in life we’ll only get out of it what we put into it.

Get yourself on the course, and join our growing community.

    Craig

    • Thanks very much Craig – This is a first class comprehensive review of that it’s all about. Thanks very much for taking the time to share your experience Craig, I very much appreciate it

  9. I attended Steve’s trading course on 23rd June.

If you are thinking of attending this course, don’t think about it, just do it. Steve is as genuine as they come, what you see is what you get.

Course is well laid out. Steve will go through every detail until he know you understand the point he is trying to make. No question is stupid to Steve, he takes the time to go through every detail. The DVD’s supplied by Steve and the Skype room are unbeatable value. Since I have returned home, my greens and scratches have improved.(Less reds now)

Thanks Steve for opening my eyes to trading and your support in the skype room.

  10. Hi Steve. I have very little (almost none) experience in trading on horses. But I have traded a bit of football. Would this be a problem if I wanted to apply for the trading course.
    Regards

    • Hi Chris, As long as you understand the principles of trading you will benefit massively from joining the program. Much of things I show you apply to trading in general. Where you will benefit the most though is the support package and Skype environment. I have a policy of “There are NO stupid questions” – That means that whatever question you ask no one will be taking the Mickey or making fun of you. You get the best answer possible to help you understand what you asked. The learning curve is steep, but it can be fast if you apply yourself. Trading Racing has some sort of mystical shroud around it, like it’s a dark art. I’ll help you remove this cloak of impenetrability and strip it back to expose how the markets behave and how to profit from them. I have sent you an invitation email with more details. Hope to see you soon – Cheers Steve

My only regret is I didnt
    go sooner.

I believe behind every succesful person is a great mentor and to me Steve is
that man, not just because of his trading but also because he is a very decent
human being and if you do decide to go on his mentorship program you will understand
    what I am speaking about.

I am now eagerly looking forward to spending some time in the MG trading community
with some of the guys from the course and also meeting some of the guys already there.

    Regards Ian

  12. I spent two hard years with Excel, and Automation, and “”Random Trading”” and what not. It consumed enormous Time & Effort. I rarely missed a trading session and gave it all I had (literally – try going with 5 hrs of sleep for two yrs while handling a day job + daily trading sessions). Not to mention ending almost every trading session in red. Despite consulting from the ‘best in the game’ my trading was no better than the day it began.

    I was devastated – utterly.

I learnt that “The market DOES NOT reward Effort” (nor ‘Time Spent’).

But this experience taught me a few very Important lessons in life:
    1. > Be very careful of how, and who you choose to be your role model
    2. > Have Low (very low) Expectations – people will fail you in your darkest hour
    3. > On that day I made the following self-note in my personal diary:
“If ever someone holds me high-regard for any skill I possess in exceptional quality, especially if the person is honest, highly devoted to me, and spares no drop of blood in acquiring my skills – I MUST reach out for him. My success is HIS success. His failure is MY failure.”

Being a ‘Mentor’ is multiple levels above being a ‘Successful Trader’. It involves a few personal, selfless, & vital qualities outside the realm of conducting a Master-class or writing a booklet.

    Selflessness sets Steve distinctly apart.

Sharing his ‘Methods’ and ‘Thought Process’ via free videos are a direct reflection of his generosity, but it is easily over-shadowed by his generosity of giving ‘Time’ – this is truly Priceless!

Steve helped me immensely in two ways, one was the article titled ‘Inspiration’ about #stephensstory, the other was, going out of his way to assist me in trading positively.

I can’t ever re-pay that Steve, but I expect to ‘Pay it Forward’ (movie by the same name). Perhaps not in Trading but another discipline in life.

    Ken ( July 14 )

    • Ken – Thanks so much for this incredible testimonial. It makes me feel very humble and proud. I am delighted to have you in the group, it’s a richer place with you in it. Cheers
      Steve

  14. Hello I would have liked to attend your mentorship session, but I can’t due to domestic and health issues. Just wondering if you do or will at some point offer an alternative option, than to having to physically attend? I would be very interested.

    • Hi Jason, I am looking at trying to do something to help with this. I have done a few online versions of my course. Where I literally deliver the course content online 1-1 as I would in the classroom. This takes twice as long and is usually at a time when I have my free time. So I am very reluctant to do it. I am working on an alternative though, so keep in touch and I’ll let you know when I have an alternative. Cheers Steve
